It is with great sadness and regret that the Bourne Police Department announce the death of Officer Phillip Hanly, a dedicated veteran of the department for almost 9 years. Phil passed away suddenly on Monday, August 4, 2008. Phil will be greatly missed as he affected all he encountered in a positive way. Phil leaves behind a wife and two young children.

A wake will be held from 4-8PM on Sunday, August 10, at Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home in Bourne. The funeral will be held Monday, August 11, at St. Margaret's Church on Main St at 10AM.
